DINNER IN PIEMONTE!

Join That’s Amore Cheese, Vino Bambino & Pentolina for a food & wine tour of Piemonte this coming Friday at 6:30pm on Zoom.

Located in northwestern Italy at the foot of the Alps, Piemonte is famous for its rich eggy pasta dishes, rustic toma cheese, aromatic truffle and pedigreed red wines. We'll be transporting you to Piemonte via Zoom to experience all of this and more! We'll visit the wine producer at the Palladino vineyard in Piemonte and discover the culture of this gorgeous region.

Experience the treasures of Piemonte

Head chef Gabriele Olivieri has created a three-course menu of traditional Piemontese dishes for the night, including handmade "tajarin" pasta - long thin strands similar to tagliolini or spaghetti, but made with only the yolk of the egg to give it a more delicate texture and richer flavour. It's served with a creamy toma cheese "fonduta" sauce, porcini mushroom and truffle - a trinity of Piemontese treasures!  

There's also a "sformatino" - similar to a savoury flan or soufflé - made with Jerusalem artichokes and served with a garlic & anchovy laden "bagna càuda" sauce. And to finish, you'll sink into a luscious chocolate cremoso with gianduja, candied hazelnuts and drunken cherries.

And to complete the Piemontese experience, chef Gabriele will be giving a live demonstration on how to make "tajarin" pasta and cook it with the toma fonduta. If you witnessed his pappardelle-making demonstration at "Apericena Tuscany" last month, you'll know that this is an event not to be missed!
