VINTAGE
2016 was an unusually dry growing season, but daily temperatures were fairly mild. These conditions resulted in the earliest harvest we have ever had, but the intensely perfumed and balanced grapes have made some lovely and very approachable, balanced wines.

WINEMAKING
The fruit was perfectly ripe, Following careful handpicking, the grapes were delivered to the winery, destemmed, and whole bunch pressed, settled and then racked to barrel and inoculated. The wine was fermented in French oak barrels with regular lees stirring. Partial malolactic fermentation was completed in spring. The wine had 11 months in French oak barriques.
