What's the difference?

Often people ask me, so what’s the difference between Pinot Gris and Pinot Grigio or Pinot Noir and Pinot Nero. Well nothing and everything! Our Australian wine industry has been built off the French for all intense purposes. We planted almost exclusively French varieties and for us now they are main stay like Shiraz, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc just to name a few. So what’s the difference between Pinot Gris and Pinot Grigio or Pinot Noir and Pinot Nero?
