Cuvée 1564 Brut Nature is made from an equal blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, with 10% Erbamat. The Erbamat grapes are grown near the winery and in the highest part of the estate, on terraced vineyards facing west and trained using the Guyot system. The 2017 harvest was marked by the historic frost between April 18 and 19, when minimum temperatures dropped to -2/-3°C around 6 AM. Tasting Note
On the nose, it reveals delicate floral sensations followed by citrus and mineral notes. The finesse is highlighted without sacrificing the structure, which is present but not overpowering. On the palate, the acidity is striking, and the great balance makes for an elegant Franciacorta with a dry finish.
