Verdicchio di Matelica is a very special wine because all wineyards are in a particular position. Ther are in a valley called Sinclinale Camerte. It is the only one in all Marche that runs parallel to the sea. This geographical aspect determines a continental microclimate as it is not influenced by the air currents coming from the Adriatic Sea. For this reason, Pedoclimatic conditions give special taste to wines.
