Harvested from the Mornington Peninsula’s oldest vines, planted in 1972, shows aromas of cassis, aniseed & dark chocolate. The palate shows ripe cool climate flavours of blackcurrant & cocoa. Matured in French oak for 18 months, these old vines and skilled winemaking contribute to a remarkable wine..

Colour: Crimson
Bouquet: Aromas of cassis, plum, tobacco and a touch of dark chocolate.
Palate: The palate shows ripe cool climate flavours of blackcurrant, cocoa & red plum. The cabernet gives length of flavour, whilst the merlot fills the mid palate.
Food Pairing: Merricks Burger: angus grass feed beef, caramelised onion, tomato, cheese, lettuce & house made chutney
