Steels Gate Cabernet Sauvignon 2019

You cannot deny that this wine is alluring, its poignant blackberries still clinging to the prickly leaf, rhubarb and pomegranate seed. Berries coated in chocolate, mocha and a lavender like old fashioned charm that is embedded in the wine. There is rusty ironstone too, with a nutmeg and cumin spice. Acidity is all time with some raspberries and compote like succulence, tannins are lithe and powdery. Its slight nods to sweet and sour are addictive with its distinct personality, charming and disarming. It's full of character and true soul. A wine that places you smack bang, on the site on a day you’ll remember for its unique coloured skies and haunting aromas of fruit, earth and growing things. This is drinking well now and with some flank steak with chimichurri , it's a chef's kiss. 92 Points
